TELL CITY – Students from Tell City and Perry Central schools will help members of the general public learn about the global impact of local industries from 6 to 8 p.m. March 13 at the Schergens Center in Tell City.
A program titled “Manufacturing in the 21st Century” will begin with an open house at 6 p.m.
It will be followed at 7 p.m. by recognition of students participating in a Hire Technology program and a panel discussion.
“Learn about the advanced technology, clean energy, robotics, programming, advanced skill sets and more that our area businesses utilize on a daily basis to remain competitive,” the event’s organizers urge.
A light meal will be provided along with an opportunity to network with local students and business leaders, they added.
The public program is being organized by the Perry County College Success Coalition, which includes business partners Waupaca Foundry, ATTC Manufacturing, American Colloid, Parker Hannifin and Jasper Engines and Transmissions.
