Green Thumb Landscaping employees Gabriel Zavala, Danny Wright and Jason Felker maneuver a new willow oak tree into place in the 700 block of Main Street last week. The new trees were the first to be planted in a four-block area currently undergoing sidewalk improvements under a grant-funded project. Trees will be planted only on the west side of the 700 block to keep growing oaks from blocking the view of City Hall. Approximately 30 new trees will be planted on both sides of Main Street in the 400, 500 and 600 blocks.
