Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman was the main speaker at Tuesday evening's Lincoln Day Dinner, held at Bill and Dave's Smokin' Pit in Tell City. Skillman drew cheers when she pointed out that Indiana's finances are far healthier than many other states, with strong spending on highway construction and the ability to pass stimulus funds to local communities. Skillman met with Tell City officials earlier in the day to learn about grant-funded projects.
