CANNELTON – A man hired late in 2011 first as a fiscal consultant, then interim, then permanent superintendent for Cannelton City Schools was convicted last year of two felony and two misdemeanor charges. Relying on the writing of Roger Moon of the Bedford-based Times-Mail, the News reported Oct. 4 a Crawford County jury found Alva Sibbitt Jr. guilty of felony and misdemeanor counts of resisting law enforcement, intimidation, a Class D felony; and criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor.
