TELL CITY – It’s summer reading season and the Tell City-Perry County Public Library will begin the “Yacky Doodle” summer reading Club June 13.
The staff is planning lots of activities for summer readers and encourages children up to the sixth graders to visit the library to participate.
Several reading categories will be specially designed to fit children’s reading levels: “Read to your baby” will be for babies and toddlers; “Please read me a story” is intended for early picture book nonreaders and “I can read by myself” will be available for seasoned readers.
To participate in the summer reading club, stop in the children’s department be-ginning June 13.
Pick up the appropriate reading form, read your favorite books and return completed forms to the library for a small prize and then start all over again.
The reading season will conclude Friday, July 22 and all participants and their families will be invited to celebrate at a pool party Wednesday, July 27.
