TELL CITY – Ever wonder how marbles were made in the “good ol’ days?” Delilah Davis, who has been a stained-glass artisan for 25 years, will lead a demonstration and make marbles with glass rods and a torch. The event will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Perry County Public Library–Tell City branch.
Davis, who has a love of making kaleidoscopes, studied with John Hamon Miller in Hannibal, Mo., in 2002. He was the first to show Davis how to make beads and marbles, then paperweights.
Davis said she enjoys demonstrating at various venues. “There is no better feeling in the world than seeing the wonder in people’s eyes and knowing I’m putting it there,” she said.
