LETTER: William Tell triathlon another big success

-A A +A

The fifth William Tell Elementary Triathlon was held Saturday, May 11. This event was offered free to any William Tell Elementary student in first through sixth grades.

This year’s triathlon had 133 student participants and numerous family members who also ran or biked with students.

All participating students were given a free T-shirt, fruit, water bottle, sack lunch and pool party.

I would like to thank the following for helping make this event a huge success: Chris and Kelli Hollinden, Tell City Junior-Senior High, Joanie Howland, Tell City Junior-Senior High maintenance staff, William Tell Elementary maintenance staff, Tell City Police Department, William Tell Elementary Parent Teach Organization, Advanced Rehabilitation Inc., Wellness 2013, Perry County Memorial Hospital, German American Bank, the city of Tell City, Home Mutual Insurance, William Tell Elementary, State Farm Insurance, Tell City Library and Culligan Water.

The following were lifeguards who donated their time: Angie Spinner, Mike and Gretchen Armstrong, Elizabeth Bishop, Luke Thomas, Bailey Powell, Kayla Morrow, Dakota Braunecker and Hanna Reed.

Thank you also to all of the staff, families and friends of William Tell Elementary who helped and volunteered their time for the triathlon. Without our community partners and numerous volunteers, this fun event for the students would not have been possible.
