In November of 2002, we opened the Widow’s Barrel Food Pantry. It was very difficult to raise money for food, because we had such a great need. But thanks to the United Way of Perry County, we have been able to meet that need for the past several years.
They helped us get a truck to haul food, a walk-in freezer and most of all money to buy the food to serve on the average of 275 families a month. This lets us give a more balanced diet to the recipients. Thank you, to all who support United Way. Keep up the good work.
