LETTER: Two bands, one race, wonderful time

The Tell City Marching Marksmen and the Perry Central Marching Commodores would like to take this opportunity to thank our community for their participation in the first annual Two Bands, One Goal 5-K Fun Run-Walk.

It was a wonderful fundraising event in which our schools worked together to get our community involved in supporting our instrumental music programs.

Without the support of the following businesses, this event would not have been possible: ATTC, Perry County Wellness, Fiesta Grande, Dr. Joe Danzer, Perry County Memorial Hospital, PSC, Waupaca Foundry, Everbody’s Fun and Fitness Center, Werner’s Drug Store, Harpenau Insurance, New Directions, Domestic Goddess Salon and Boutique, R&A Sports, Logo’s, Coca Cola and Noble’s IGA.

We would also like to thank all those who sponsored our band members as they walked or ran the 5K.

Congratulations to the male winner, Donovan Ingle, and the female winner, Kim Strobel.

We look forward to next year’s race and hope to see even more participants. Mark your calendars for the first Saturday in June. We’ll be back!
