LETTER: Local Perry County residents show community spirit

On behalf of the Rome Cemetery Association, we wish to thank William J. Coomer and his wife, Carolyn L. Coomer, for their very generous gift of a large parcel of land to expand the already full Lamb-Rowe local landmark cemetery.

These rural, out-of-the-way cemeteries are often overlooked and almost forgotten. But for the families whose descendants go back centuries and wish to continue their heritage in Perry County, it is important they have the opportunity to do so.

Mr. and Mrs. Coomer have made this possible by their very generous offer of new land to make this issue viable.
