LETTER: Interested in learning about TC Kiwanis?

-A A +A

The Tell City Kiwanis has been an active organization in our community since May 1927. The organization’s focus is to serve children.

We have been able to do this in the last year with donations and support of activities such as the Perry Central After Prom, Tell City After Prom, Cannelton After Prom, Tell City Scholarship, Perry Central Scholarship, Cannelton Scholarship, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, back-to-school activities, Riley Hospital, Dolly Parton Imagination Library and our annual Christmas Basket Program. The Kiwanians work hard to raise funds for these sponsorships through activities like “Hog Daddy Days Barbecue Sales,” Coke sales, chicken-dinner sales and Schweizer Fest cotton candy and Sno-Cone booth.

In September the Tell City Kiwanis would like to invite anyone interested in the organization to our weekly meetings. The meetings are held at the Patio Steakhouse every Wednesday at noon.

If you would like to learn more about the organization, please stop by and join us for lunch. The cost is $8 and includes your lunch buffet and drink.

We are excited to continue to help serve the children of our community and the world with your support.  If you are unable to attend a meeting in September or would like more information about the organization, please call Louie Heitkemper at 547-8570.

President, Tell City Kiwanis
