First I have not met you personally. I was raised in Perry County, married a local girl and moved to Paducah, Ky., in 1952, following my work in construction. In 1958 we moved to Pensacola, Fla., again following my work and raising my family here and I remain here now. Most of my family remains in Perry County.
A couple of years ago, I subscribed to The Perry County News and I enjoy reading it but many changes have taken place as well as new names.
If I missed something, I apologize to your but the last couple of months I’ve waited for you to take a stand on the recent election. With your educational background, I was surprised and disappointed that you didn’t inform your subscribers of the sad and immoral way that our country is being taken. The press and news media are not informing the public of the real changes being imposed on us. The news media in my opinion are not impartial but are leaving toward secularism and socialist.
First of all I think Obamacare is not constitutional, as some of the mandates are depriving us of our religious freedom.
Forcing us to pay for contraceptions and abortions are forcing some of us Christians to participate in sinful and immoral activity.
Coming next will be same-sex marriages and euthanasia. Under certain conditions euthanasia is already taking place in some of our hospitals.
I cannot believe or accept the fact that so many good Christians are falling into this secular trap. God’s laws don’t change.
Our generation deserves what we’re getting but I feel sorry for our children and future generations.
May God bless America.
