LeClere Perry Central’s football MVP again

LEOPOLD—Austin LeClere was named Perry Central’s football Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive year at the school’s football and fall cheerleading awards program Wednesday.
LeClere was also named the team’s top running back and top special-teams player. And on defense he led the team in tackles with 74.
He rushed for 1,640 yards and scored 28 touchdowns this season.
He finished his career with 3,353 rushing yards, fourth on Perry Central’s all-time list. He averaged 6.93 yards per carry for his career, third best on the school’s all-time list.
Other multiple award winners Wednesday were Kane James, Dacota Schaad, Dillon Hubert, Nick Coultas, Zach Myler, Ethan Emmons and Nathan Shaw.
In cheerleading Emily Davis won the most spirited award for the second consecutive fall and Kelsey McCallister was named most improved. Both awards were voted on by the squad.
