HUNTINGBURG — Dubois County Bombers General Manager Joe Mundy recently announced coaching changes for the 2015 summer season, including the promotion of Andy Lasher to the head manager position.
“We are excited to elevate Andy to lead our team next year at the recommendation of both past manager Wes Fink and pitching coach Greg Gogel,” said Mundy.
Lasher, a Newburgh native, joined the Bombers this year as an assistant field manager.
He played college baseball for Olney Central College in 2010 and 2011 and for the University of Evansville in 2012 and 2013.
He graduated with a business administration degree from the University of Evansville and is currently an assistant coach at Olney Central.
Lasher is the son of Tell City graduate Susan Kreisle Lasher and Perry Central graduates Brian and Joan Lasher.
His grandparents are Iola Lasher of Leopold and Ovalee and Dorothy LaGrange of Tell City.
Fink and Gogel will stay connected with the Bombers in 2015, with Fink concentrating on player recruitment.
Gogel will continue to work with the Bombers’ pitching staff on a limited basis due to his recent appointment as head baseball coach at Heritage Hills High School.
