Lack of heating funds hurts those in need

PERRY COUNTY – Larry K. Kleeman, executive director of Lincoln Hills Development Corp., announced that funds available for heating assistance for residents of Crawford, Perry and Spencer counties are nearly depleted and a waiting list has been started for the Energy Assistance Program.
LHDC administers the heating assistance program in the three-county area and to date more than 1,300 households have been served.
