Kiwanis Club barbecue fundraiser under way

TELL CITY – The Tell City Kiwanis Club is selling discounted Coke products and barbecue for a fundraiser, just in time for Memorial Day and graduation celebrations.
Orders are being taken for Boston butts prepared by Bill and Dave’s Smokin’ Pit at the cost of $30. It feeds between 20 and 25 people. Half orders are also available at $15; these orders feed 10 to 12 people.
“Barbecue also freezes well. If you are going to be out of town or don’t care to order meat for yourself, you have the option of ordering barbecue that will be donated to Table of Blessings,” said organizers.
Table of Blessings is a weekly nutritious meal open to anyone in the community who desires food or fellowship. Anyone may donate $30 or $15 toward purchasing barbecue for Table of Blessings. If desired, orders may include barbecue sauce at no cost.
You may order by contacting any Tell City Kiwanis member or chairwoman Rebecca Fenn at 547-2257 during the day or at 547-6818 at night. Orders must be picked up between 3:30 and 6 p.m. May 23 at Will-iam Tell Elementary. Orders not picked up by 6 p.m. will be donated to Table of Blessings. All orders and payments are due by 5 p.m. May 17 to Fenn.
Coke-product purchases may be made at this time. Cases of 24 20-ounce bottles of Coke products will be $18. Also included with Coke products will be bottled water, flavored bottled water and Powerade.
Coke orders can be plac-ed by contacting any Tell City Kiwanis member or chairwoman Sheila Clark at (812) 357-2750 or 547-0240. Coke orders are due at noon May 20. Coke orders will be delivered to the Kiwanis member who took the order on the afternoon or evening of May 23 for them to deliver to buyers.
The Tell City Kiwanis Club is a nonprofit group dedicated to youth and raises funds which go back into the community.
