Franzman defeats Woodcrafters 9-8

TELL CITY – The Kiwanis Babe Ruth team went undefeated in tourney play, winning against Franzman Insurance 8-1 Tuesday night.


Franzman won against Woodcrafters 8-9 earlier in the evening to make it to the championship game.

In the championship game, Kiwanis hitters were Dakota Braunecker, Austin Paulin and Logan Simpson with singles and Trent Zuelly with a double.

Pitchers were Brian Arnold and Paulin.

Franzman hitters were Ryan Hackbarth with a double and single, Nathan Wood with a double, Ray Adams with two singles and Cory Henderson, Ryan Dooley and Grant Sanders with singles.

Pitchers were Jordan Hosler, Adams and Wood.

In the Franzman vs. Woodcrafters game, hitters for Franzman were Dooley with two doubles, Adams with two singles and Brennan Malone, Tyler Fuetess, Hosler and Wood with singles. Henderson had the winning RBI, bringing in Sanders.

Adams pitched four innings and Hosler pitched three. Sanders also pitched.

Woodcrafters hitters were Drew Mowery, Drake Duke and Shane Roerk with singles, Ryan LaGrange with a single and double and Danny McCoy with two singles and a double.
