Jury can't agree on sentence of life in prison without parole

ENGLISH - The Crawford County jury that convicted Kyle Kiplinger of murder Monday deliberated for another four hours Tuesday but failed to reach a unanimous verdict on whether the Tell City man should spend the rest of his life in prison for the 2006 slaying of Bobbi Jo Braunecker.

Asked by Judge Lucy Goffinet if more time might lead the panel to a unanimous decision in the penalty phase of the trial, the jury's foreman frowned. "At this point, I don't see how," he said.
