OWENSBORO, Ky. – Kentucky Wesleyan College will hold a spring open house from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Students will have the chance to experience the excitement of college life at Kentucky Wesleyan. The open house includes tours of the campus and opportunities for students and their families to get information on the more than 40 academic and pre-professional programs available, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, student life at KWC, NCAA college athletics and more.
High-school and college-transfer students are invited to attend, and if not already completed, are encouraged to take with them an application for admission and an official school transcript in a sealed school envelope.
Students may register to attend the open house online at www.kwc.edu/visit or by calling the KWC Admissions Office at (800) 999-0592. Walk-ins are also welcome.
In addition to the open house, KWC will also host the Brown-Heritage Scholarship and STEM Scholarship competition during the afternoon.
The Brown-Heritage is an invitation-only scholarship competition with awards that range up to full tuition renewable for four years.
The STEM Scholarship competition offers awards up to $6,000 per year to incoming freshmen and transfer students.
“We are looking forward to an exciting weekend,” said Rashad Smith, director of admissions. “With the open house and the scholarship candidates along with their families, it’s going to be a wonderful, busy day on campus.”
