Kayaking tour at Patoka Lake July 14

BIRDSEYE – The public is invited to take kayaks or canoes and join the Patoka Lake naturalists for a tour on the late at 9:30 a.m. July 14. The group will meet at Wall’s Lake Boat Ramp off Indiana 145.
The group will look for beaver, osprey, bald eagles and other wildlife along the way. Participants will discover a bit of Patoka’s past as they make their way to the “lake within a lake.” They will also travel over the remnants of Wall’s Lake dam as the group will paddle the waters of Patoka River.
Those attending are asked to take life jackets, snacks, refreshments and sunscreen for the journey. Those who wish can meet the naturalists at the visitor center by 8:30 a.m. to car caravan to the ramp.
