Kanneberg completes military academy

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Cadet Neil Kanneberg, son of Chris and Keith Kanneberg of Cape Girardeau, Mo., graduated from the U.S. Military Academy May 26. He is also the grandson of William and Joan Conner, and Pat Kanneberg of Tell City and the late Ken Kanneberg.

Kanneberg graduated from Notre Dame High School in 2008. While at West Point, he majored in Chinese and economics. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the infantry branch and will report to Fort Benning, Ga., for his first assignment.
The U.S. Military Academy is a four-year co-educational federal undergraduate liberal-arts college located 50 miles north of New York City. Founded in 1802 as America’s first college of engineering, it ranks as one of the top colleges in the nation.
