Jasper’s depth sinks Tell City boys

JASPER—Tell City won one event and tied for first in another in a 118-50 boys swimming loss to Jasper Thursday.

Nick Bower won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.13 seconds and Jerry Ammon placed third in 26.83 to give the Marksmen their highest scoring event.

Tell City’s Taylor Maddle tied Jasper’s Heath Hanselman for first in diving, each with 199.75 points.

Bower placed second in the 100 free in 57.43.

Justin Peter earned Tell City’s only other second place in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.81.

Greg Clayton placed third in the 200 free in 2:05.92 and the 500 free in 5:46.87.

Jarrod Clayton took third in the 200 individual medley in 2:39.37.

Tell City, 0-3 in dual meets, will host Northeast Dubois Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
