JASPER – 2012 marks the 70th anniversary of Jasper Engines & Transmissions. As part of the year-long celebration, the company took a group of associates, based on years of service, on a weekend trip to Nashville, Tenn.
These associates attending recently marked 30 and 31 years of service with Jasper Engines, along with associates who have achieved 35 or more years of service.
Highlights of the trip, which was from Aug. 24 to Aug. 26, included a Friday visit to the venerable Ryman Auditorium, along with a backstage tour, and evening performance of the Grand Ole Opry.
The Saturday itinerary included a tour of Studio B at RCA Records for a step back in time, along with a stop at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
After a bus tour of the city, the associates enjoyed an evening dinner cruise on the General Jackson Showboat.
The trip was capped off with a visit to The Fontanel, which is country music legend Barbara Mandrel’s former log home, the largest log home in the world.
Jasper Engines’ anniversary celebration continues in November with the distribution of a commemorative yearbook highlighting moments of the company’s 70 year history.
