Jasper’s invitational meet canceled

JASPER—Jasper’s cross country invitational is always a good sectional preview, as it is run on the same course as the sectional will be two weeks later and nearly all the sectional teams compete in it.
It also gives first-year varsity runners a chance to get familiar with the sectional course before the sectional.
If they get that chance this year, though, it will have to be in practice, as the invitational was canceled Tuesday.
Jasper officials notified teams at 10 a.m. that the races would not be run.
