Democrat files for second term in May 6 primary

PERRY COUNTY - Jane James filed last week for re-election to a second term as county recorder. She was elected in 2004 and previously served as a deputy in the recorder's office.

The Democrat pointed to several accomplishments in her first three full years in office, including the microfilming of public records and the placement of microfilmed records in a climate-controlled vault at the state archive in Indianapolis.
