TELL CITY — As a service to the community, Ivy Tech Community College is providing a free workshop for anyone who needs help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Known as FAFSA, the application is required to obtain many scholarships or college loans.

The workshop is not limited to Ivy Tech students or their parents, according to Sherri Flynn, director of Ivy Tech's Tell City site.

Free sessions will start at 1:30, 3, 4:30, 6 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at 1034 31st St., Tell City.

Attendees should take their 2008 tax returns, as they will complete the actual FASFA on a computer during this session. A financial-aid expert will be available to answer questions and provide individual help.

Those who intend to participate should call 547-7915 to reserve a computer for the session of their choice.
