INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana State Police Superintendent Paul Whitesell announced the promotion this week of 1st Sgt. Robert Priest to the rank of lieutenant to serve as the area investigative commander for southwest Indiana.
Priest has experience handling cases in Perry County and his new area of command will include Perry and Spencer counties.
A native of Putnam County and a 1991 graduate from South Putnam High School, Priest attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute until he was hired by the state police.
