Industrial site gains 'shovel-ready' designation

PERRY COUNTY - A 90-acre parcel of land located just off Indiana 37 in the Perry County Industrial Park South has been awarded Indiana's Shovel Ready designation. The new status could put the tract of land at an advantage in ongoing efforts to recruit industrial development and new jobs.

Nine sites across Indiana earned the status July 11, paving the way for businesses to quickly locate new operations on property ready for development, local leaders said.
