Hypothermia suspected in death

NEWTONVILLE – Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Newtonville man whose body was discovered Tuesday morning.

The body of 30-year-old Josh Peters was found at about 6:30 that morning near a residence at 4496 E. County Road 900 N. in Newtonville.
Spencer County Coroner Robert Fuller reported that Peters died earlier in the morning, at approximately 2 a.m.

The death was likely accidental. Initial coroner’s findings revealed that Peters’ death was caused by environmental hypothermia, but is still under investigation.
