Hunter injured Friday

GERMAN RIDGE - An Evansville man hunting near the German Ridge Recreation Area was injured Friday morning after falling from a tree stand.

Mark Farmer, a public-information officer for Indiana conservation officers, said Stanford E. Schultz, 52, apparently lost his balance and fell approximately 12 feet, landing upon a log on the ground. His brother, who was hunting nearby, heard his cry for help and alerted authorities of the accident.
