LEOPOLD - Perry Central hit a season-best 45.3 percent from the field in a 54-27 PLAC girls basketball win over West Washington Monday.
The Commodores were especially hot early as they jumped to a 16-2 first-quarter lead.
"The first quarter we pretty much hit everything we put up there," said Perry Central Coach Sarah Spindler. "And most of them were outside shots.
"When Alie (Schroeder, Perry Central's center) got the ball inside, four people collapsed on her. She did a good job of kicking it back out and we hit the shots."
