TELL CITY – Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club will host a fun horse show and benefit at 5 p.m. Saturday at the club, located on Summer Road north of Tell City.
Follow the signs approximately 5 miles north on Indiana 37 to reach the club.
There will be games for all ages, providing fun for all participants and spectators. There will be some bleacher seating available but lawn chairs are recommended.
This show is also a fundraiser for Stir-N-Up Hope Therapeutic Riding Program. Stir-N-Up Hope is a nonprofit organization that provides free therapeutic riding sessions to handicapped individuals from southern Indiana and northern Kentucky.
The therapy sessions are held at their facility in southern Spencer County just off Orchard Road north of Reo.
There will be half-pot drawings, donation buckets and more available to assist in making these services available. Plans are for some of the Stir-N-Up Hope instructors, students and assistants to attend and demonstrate the techniques used.
For more information about the organization, visit their Web site ww.stir-n-uphope.org or send e-mail to instructors at stirnuphope@ psci.net
The show is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.; however it may be delayed if there is extreme heat that afternoon.
