HAWESVILLE, Ky.—Hancock County started the game hot and Cannelton was cold as Hancock County won 62-25 in girls basketball Saturday.
The Hornets hit 49.1 percent from the field for the game compared with Cannelton’s 18.9 percent.
“We came out flat,” said Cannelton Coach Mike Garrett. “We just couldn’t hit any shots—everything was short.
“And we get tired down the stretch (because they have only six healthy players).”
Meanwhile the Hornets were having little trouble scoring from almost anywhere.
