22-year-old killed by falling limb; wind damage widespread
PERRY COUNTY - Remnants of Hurricane Ike blasted Perry County with gale-force winds Sunday, sending trees crashing onto homes and cars and across city streets and county roads. A Tell City man was killed that evening when a limb fell on him at a home on Deer Creek Road.
Travis Cronin, 22, was using a rope to pull the limb, which had become entangled in the branches of other trees, when it came crashing down, striking him on the head.
