Hoosier Express holds Washington scoreless Friday

LINCOLN CITY — Austin Paulin went 2 for 3 and Luke Stetter tossed a shutout as the Hoosier Express topped Washington 11-0 in six innings Friday.

After being shut-out in the season opener, the Express offense scoring three runs in the second, third and fifth innings before closing the game out with two more in the sixth.

Guadalupe Perez finished with two RBIs. And despite scattering nine hits, Stetter and the Express defense kept Washington off the scoreboard.

Things didn’t go as well the next day, as the Express lost both games of a double-header at Bowling Green.

The first game took extra innings, with the Express falling short 7-6 in the 10th.

Trent Zuelly was the Express’ most productive player, going 2 for 5 and scoring two runs.

The second game wasn't as competitive, as Bowling Green allowed just one hit in a 12-2, five-inning rout.

Hunter Rowe had the team’s only hit with a two-run double in the fifth.
