HNF accepting trees until Tuesday

TELL CITY - The Hoosier National Forest is accepting live Christmas trees for recycling through Tuesday.

Trees can be dropped off at the ranger station on Washington Street.

The trees will be placed in local lakes, where they will serve as habitat for fish.

Ornaments and tinsel should be removed from the trees before they are dropped off. Call the Forest Service at (812) 547-7051 for more information or with questions.
