Hilgenhold competes in pageant in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – Ava Nicole Hilgenhold recently competed in the National American Miss Pageant in Indianapolis, where she earned the following awards: a portfolio award for being photogenic; a Spirit of America award for participating in special categories; third runner up in the acting category, where she performed a commercial; a trophy for being a state finalist and ribbons for community service and resumé writing.

Each girl was required to compete in on-stage presentations, a group dance, interviews and formal-wear categories. They could select additional categories if they so chose.
Hilgenhold is the 9-year old daughter of Jeff and Angela Hilgenhold of Tell City. She is the granddaughter of Shirley Hilgenhold of Tell City, Linda and Fred Hedinger of Lamar and Stephen Herron of Rockport. She is the great-granddaughter of Zelma Fuchs of Evanston, Wanda Herron of Rockport and Lynette Donnelly of Owensboro, Ky.
