INDIANAPOLIS—Perry Central senior linebacker/running back Levi Hilgenhold has been named to the Indianapolis Colts’ annual High School Academic All-Star Team.
This is the 14th year the Colts have sponsored the team, which honors the top 24 high school football academic all-stars in the state.
Hilgenhold and the others will be introduced to the crowd at the Colts’ game with the Ten-nessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium Sun-day 20 minutes before the game.
Each all-star will re-ceive four complimentary tickets to the game.
Colts’ academic all-stars must rank in the top 5 percent of their class and must be nominated by their coaches.
Hilgenhold ranks first in Perry Central’s senior class with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. He scored 29 on the ACT and 1830 on the SAT.
He hopes to attend the Air Force Academy and major in astronautical engineering.
Hilgenhold is the first Perry Central player to make the Colts’ academic all-stars since Morgan Labhart did 10 years ago.
