MONTICELLO, Minn. – Cargill Kitchen Solutions, headquartered in Monticello, recognized eight employee stakeholders with its annual Eagle Award. Travis Harpenau of Mason City, Iowa, was one of the stakeholders recognized.
The Eagle Award was established in 1998 to recognize stakeholders who, day in and day out, live the Car-gill Kitchen Solutions core values of integrity, passion for success, commitment to serve and respect for others. These stakeholders are colleagues from every part of the business who go above and beyond each and every day, a press release from the company stated.
“These are strong leaders in their areas and informal mentors to all. They are truly a group of role models within Cargill Kitchen Solutions, our communities and all of Cargill,” the press release said.
Harpenau is a plant superintendent at Cargill Kitchen Solutions’ facility in Mason City. His award nomination included his commitment to being a mentor and coach to all; including a leadership development candidate at another Cargill Kitchen Solutions facility.
“He continuously goes above and beyond to help the plant achieve its objectives as well as helping other departments such as maintenance and QA,” the press release stated. “He is persistent in understanding root causes and putting preventive practices in place to ensure the plant is operating safely and efficiently. He has collaborated with other plants to ensure best practices are being shared and recently spent a great deal of his time working with engineering during the warehouse expansion to ensure layouts and process flow would be practical for current future processes.”
Harpenau and his wife, Klarissa, have two children, Miguel and Izabele Jaime. He is a 1999 graduate of Tell City High School and is the son of Dale and Pat Harpenau of Tell City.
