ELIZABETH - Freshman Andrew Harpenau pitched six strong innings and went 3 for 3 at the plate as Perry Central beat South Central 4-2 in baseball Tuesday.
Harpenau struck out two, walked two, and gave up two runs as he earned his second win of the season.
Wes Linette pitched a scoreless seventh inning, striking out one and walking one, for the save.
Harpenau scored two runs. Teammate Austin Hauser went 2 for 2 and drove in two runs, getting clutch two-out RBI singles in the first and fifth innings.
His fifth-inning RBI put the Commodores ahead for good.
