FERDINAND—Trent Gunn tied Tell City’s single-season home run record but the Marksmen lost to Forest Park 11-2 in PAC baseball Wednesday.

Gunn hit a two-run homer in the first inning, his ninth of the season. That tied the school record set by Ryan Kieser in 1999 and gave Gunn 47 RBIs, extending his own single-season record in that department.

But the Marksmen could not generate any other runs as Forest Park pitcher Mitch Lampert scattered nine hits.

Shane Weedman started for Tell City and took the loss, dropping his record to 5-2.
