Under light rain and police- and fire-vehicle escort, National Guard soldiers depart their Tell City armory Thursday, bound for Camp Atterbury. They were to undergo 10 days of training there before a Christmas break, after which they'll go to Georgia for additional training in preparation for a deployment to Iraq. Their total mobilization period, including training in both locations, is expected to be one year.
