PERRY COUNTY - The Perry County Women for Women, a fund of the Perry County Community Foundation is happy to announce its 2010 grant cycle.

A grant award of up to $7,500 is available due to the contributions of members of the Circle of 100, a giving circle of women.

During the 2010 grant cycle, the fund administrators will consider grant proposals only for projects that address the following need of Perry County women:

The creation or expansion of a women's mentoring program that addresses issues related to generational poverty and breaking its cycle.

The Women for Women Fund welcomes funding requests from nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt under sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code and from governmental agencies serving Perry County women and girls.

Funding requests from other nonprofit organizations to carry out charitable projects or activities that address the above topic may also be accepted.

The grant proposal must be electronically submitted to the Perry County Community Foundation no later than Feb. 25. Applications and information on additional requirements for the Perry County Women for Women grant is available at www. perrycommunityfoundation. org.
