PERRY COUNTY - The Perry County Soil and Water Conservation District has received a grant from Clean Water Indiana to provide technical and financial assistance to land users by providing a cost-share program for livestock facilities.

The program, open to all Perry County land users, offers a cost-share payment of 75 percent of the actual cost for livestock watering systems, including pipeline and tank, not to exceed $2,000 or heavy-use area protection of 25 feet by 25 feet feeding or watering pads, not to exceed $1,000.

No further funding will be available in contractual agreements after a $16,250 allocation has been depleted.

Applications will be accepted until June 30 or until funds are depleted on a first-come, first-served basis at the SWCD office in the courthouse annex in Cannelton.
