Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills earns commitment to Quality Award

TELL CITY - Golden Living Center- Lincoln Hills has been selected by the American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living to receive the 2013 Bronze – Commitment to Quality National Award for the outstanding care and service it provides to its patients and residents.

The Living Center is one of 582 skilled nursing facilities who applied for the award this year.

The award was presented to Golden LivingCenter - Lincoln Hills in October during American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living ‘s 64th Annual Convention and Exposition in Phoenix, Ariz.

“We are honored to receive this distinction because it recognizes the commitment we make every day in providing quality care to our patients,” said Julie Pennington, Executive Director of Golden LivingCenter-Lincoln Hills. “This is a testimony to the hard work and dedication of our entire staff, and I am extremely proud of this achievement.”

To be selected by American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living  as a Bronze Commitment to Quality Award recipient, a skilled nursing facility must demonstrate an organization-wide commitment to a patient-centered mission, define its principal customers and their expectations, and indicate how it is striving to meet their needs.

The American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living  Quality awards are designed to recognize quality achievement, while supporting improvement efforts in long-term care through the promotion of education and awareness.

“In an age of changing healthcare, Golden LivingCenter – Lincoln Hills has remained committed to prioritizing quality care above all else,” says Mark Parkinson, president and chief executive officer of American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living.

“This LivingCenter is an example of the great things that can be accomplished when we commit to person-centered care.”

The American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living awards have been presented annually since 1996. They are centered on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, which is the nation’s highest award for distinguished healthcare achievement.

Golden LivingCenter-Lincoln Hills Lincoln Hills provides quality healthcare for up to 86 residents, including those needing skilled nursing and rehabilitative care. The facility has been part of the Tell City community since 1964.
