Goffinet scores 25 in Panthers’ win in Florida

BABSON PARK, Fla.—Tell City graduate Lauren Goffinet scored a collegiate career-high 25 points, including seven three-pointers, in Kentucky Wesleyan’s 81-66 women’s basketball win over Webber International Dec. 20.

The freshman shooting guard hit 7 of 9 from three-point range as she  tied for the second highest number of three-pointers made in a single game at KWC.

She leads the 7-3 Panthers in scoring at 11.3 points per game, in three-point shooting at 47.1 percent, in total three-pointers made with 24, and in minutes played at 26.6 per game. She has started all but the Panthers’ first game.

The Panthers’ next game is at home against St. Joseph’s 1 p.m. Jan. 2.
