OWENSBORO, Ky. – Lauren Goffinet, a sophomore history and secondary-education major at Kentucky Wesleyan College, has been named to the president’s and dean’s lists for the fall 2010 semester.
The president’s list honors superior academic achievement by students carrying at least 12 hours who have attained a grade-point average of 4.0.
To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must attain a grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while carrying at least 12 hours.
Goffinet has reached the president’s list all three semesters she has attended Kentucky Wesleyan. She is also a starting member of the Lady Panthers basketball team, which just received a bid to the NCAA Division II tourney for the first time in school history, and she volunteers at the Mary Kendall Home for Children.
She is the daughter of Chris and Darla Goffinet.
Located in Owensboro, Kentucky Wesleyan College is a four-year United Methodist-related academic institution offering a wide range of majors in the liberal arts.
