EVANSVILLE - Chase Gerber dominated inside with 35 points and 22 rebounds as Cannelton beat Evansville Day 62-48 in boys basketball Tuesday.
"They were covering our shooters, so that opens up the post," said Cannelton Coach Brian Garrett. "And Chase plays well in the post - he's hard to guard down there."
Day School built a 14-9 lead in the first 11:07 of the game.
But Gerber scored eight of Cannelton's next 10 points--and had an assist to Dillon Powers on the other two points--as the Bulldogs built a 19-16 lead.
