INDIANAPOLIS – The fate of a coal-gasification plant near Rockport could lie with the state Senate. Last week, the Indiana Senate Utilities Committee declined to include provisions to an amended bill that Indiana Gasification developers believe could kill the project.
The bill defines covenants in existing legislation such as “guarantee of savings” with respect to retail end-use customers of substitute natural gas and amends the definition of “purchase contract.”
