ST. MEINRAD – Boardstock, a two-day music fest, will be held Friday and Saturday at the St. Meinrad Community Center in honor of the life of Eric. W. Board.
All proceeds from the event will be used to buy a gravestone for Board.
“We hope to be able to purchase one that can somewhat define who he was,” his brother Rob Cunningham said. “Music was pretty much everything to him. He used his life to learn all he could about it. He was a very versatile musician, and could play most rock instruments, and could sing. His goal was to make everyone enjoy music the way he did. So, in essence, it’s not just a benefit, it is a memorial, to celebrate the life of Eric W. Board.”
Friday night’s lineup will begin at 5 p.m. and will include Scott Board, Chris Corn, Heavy Habit, Chris Jenkins and The Driven Projekt.
On Saturday, the music will begin at 3 p.m. with Matt “Hellbelly” Jones, followed by Distant Ships, Matt Colson, Seahorse Bandits, Brent Lechner, 5th Degree Burn and Silly Rules.
Admission to the event is $10. For more information, visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/EricWBoardMemorial.
